Located near Šiauliai in northern Lithuania, the Hill of Crosses is one of the country's most powerful symbols of faith, remembrance, and peaceful resistance. Over generations, thousands of crosses have been placed on the site by pilgrims and visitors, despite repeated attempts by Soviet authorities to remove them during the occupation of Lithuania. Each time the hill was cleared, new crosses appeared, transforming the site into a lasting testament to resilience and freedom of belief.
